High School: 2009 Mohawk High School graduate, Sycamore, Ohio, where she was a First Team All-Midland Athletic League, First Team All-District and Second Team All-Ohio selection.  Additionally, Kurtz was MAL Player of the Year and District Player of the Year.  She also earned Second Team All-MAL and Honorable Mention All-District honors in basketball.
