Prior to Owens: Critchley was a First Team All-TAAC selection every season as a four-year member of the Toledo Christian volleyball team under head coach Dave Coneley. As a junior and senior, she was named First Team All-District and team MVP. She set the school record for most career hits. Critchley was also a member of the basketball and track teams. As a member of the basketball team, she earned First Team All-TAAC and Special Mention All-District honors her senior year, and Honorable Mention All-District honors her junior year. As a member of the track team, she won TAAC shot put and discus titles as a senior. Her greatest personal sports thrill was leading Toledo Christian to the state final four in volleyball her senior year, which included a 29-kill performance in the district championship. Academically, she earned Honor Roll recognition her sophomore through senior seasons.

Personal: Bethany is the daughter of Delmer and Debra Critchley. She is a pre-physical therapy major at Owens.
