2012 stats

2012: Hilfinger had a spectacular sophomore season as she broke the single match, single season and career assist records. On Oct. 24, her 64 assists against Sinclair broke the single match record, and she became only the third player in program history to record 2,000 career assists on Oct. 26. Overall, she finished with 1,518 assists as a sophomore. Her sophomore assist total was third most in the nation.

Following the regular season, she was named First Team All-OCCAC and First Team All-Region XII. Hilfinger, who also was named to the Region XII District E all-tournament team, had 17 kills, 412 assists, nine aces, 59 digs, four solo blocks and 12 assisted blocks in OCCAC play.

Other sophomore stats for Hilfinger included 70 kills, 52 aces, 367 digs, 47 assisted blocks and six solo blocks. For her career, she had 2,346 assists, 81 kills, 97 aces, 648 digs, 48 assisted blocks and six solo blocks.

In the NJCAA D-II National Tournament, Hilfinger recorded 169 assists, 52 digs, nine kills and seven assisted blocks over four matches.

Academically, Hilfinger earned Exemplary Academic Achievement honors with a 3.74 GPA.

She signed with NCAA D-II Ursuline College.

2011: Hilfinger was second on the team in assists her freshman year with 828, while also accumulating 11 kills, 45 aces, 281 digs and one assisted block. Her assist total was the 11th highest single season total in Express volleyball history. She was named the team's Most Improved Player.

Prior to Owens: Hilfinger was named First Team All-Northern Lakes League and team MVP, while also being named to the District 7 All Star team her senior year, Second Team All-NLL and team MVP her junior year, and Honorable Mention All-NLL and the team's Most Improved her sophomore year under head coach Bill Hennenman. Additionally, she set the school record for most assists in a season and career during her senior season. Hilfinger was also a member of the basketball program. Academically, she was an honor roll student all four years at Anthony Wayne and earned an Honors Diploma.

Personal: Molly is the daughter of Neil and Michelle Hilfinger. She has two siblings, Dana and Casey, and she is a pre-nursing concentration major at Owens.
