Express Volleyball Falls in Straight Sets to No. 15 Columbus State

Columbus, OH---The Express volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 15 Columbus State Community College on the road yesterday.

Ciarra Wirick (Benjamin Logan/West Liberty, OH) did her best to keep the Express in the match with team-highs in kills (8) and assists (14), while adding six digs and one block.

Jazmine Thomas (Lima Senior/Lima, OH) added six kills and five blocks, while Jessica Cooper (Brandywine/Niles, MI) added 12 assists. Cooper also had the only Express ace of the match.

Lisa Urbanski (Notre Dame Academy/Toledo, OH) led the team in digs with 15.

The Express are now 19-19 overall and 8-4 in OCCAC play, while Columbus State improved to 32-4 overall and 12-0 in the OCCAC.

The Express have one regular season match left on Wednesday at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College beginning at 6 p.m. It is a non-conference matchup.
