Toledo, Ohio---The Express volleyball team raised $300 on their annual "Dig Pink" night, which took place on Oct. 16.

The money was raised primarily in an auction of the special pink-colored game ball but 100 percent of gate receipts also went to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Head coach Sonny Lewis said the team wanted to choose an organization in which all of the money donated would go to the actual cause.  Eventually, they decided on the Wounded Warrior Project.

The Wounded Warrior Project's purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, and direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members. The Project began in 2002.
