Reigelsperger, Owens Volleyball Breeze Past Edison In Straight Sets

Piqua, Ohio---The Owens Community College women's volleyball team defeated Edison Community College 25-14, 25-13, 25-15 on the road today.

Macy Reigelsperger (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio) and Erika Hartings (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio) each had a team-high nine kills, while Ciarra Wirick (Benjamin Logan/West Liberty, Ohio) had six and Ally Mikesell (St. Henry/St. Henry, Ohio) had five.

Wirick (19) and Jessica Cooper (Brandywine/Niles, Mich.) with 11 led the team in assists. Mikesell had a team-high 10 digs. Aricka LaVoy (Eastwood/Pemberville, Ohio) added nine and Reigelsperger had eight. 

Taylor Purcell (Bedford/Temperance, Mich.) had the team's lone solo block, while Mikesell, Kayla Siefker (Kalida/Ottawa, Ohio) and Reigelsperger each added two assisted blocks.

Owens is now 16-7 overall and 7-1 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) play. They will hit the road this weekend for a total of four matches in the Grand Rapids Invitational.
