Toledo, Ohio---Macy Reigelsperger (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio) and Erika Hartings (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio) led the offensive attack as the No. 16 Owens Community College women's volleyball team defeated St. Clair County Community College in straight sets in tonight's Region XII District E winner's bracket quarterfinal.

Reigelsperger had a team-high 13 kills, while Hartings added 11. Ally Mikesell (St. Henry/St. Henry, Ohio) added eight.

Deanna Smith (Riverview/Riverview, Mich.) had  team-high 20 assists. Jessica Cooper (Brandywine/Niles, Mich.) chipped in 19, as well. Aricka LaVoy (Eastwood/Pemberville, Ohio) had a team-high two aces, while also tying for the team-high in digs with 16. 

Ciarra Wirick (Benjamin Logan/West Liberty, Ohio) also had 16 digs. Cooper (8) and Mikesell (7) also chippped in. Reigelsperger had a team-high four blocks.

As a team, Owens hit .297, led by Mikesell (.571) and Purcell (.556).

Owens advances in the winner's bracket to take on Oakland Community College at 10 a.m. tomorrow. All tournament games are being held at Owens Community College. Should Owens win at 10 a.m. tomorrow, they would advance to the winner's bracket finals at 2 p.m.
