Sophomore Libero, Wirick, Named An NJCAA All-American

Toledo, Ohio---Ciarra Wirick (Benjamin Logan/West Liberty, Ohio), a sophomore libero on the Owens Community College women's volleyball team, has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Honorable Mention All-American selection.

Wirick, who was previously named First Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and First Team All-Region XII, produced 52 kills, 116 assists, 38 aces and a team-high 763 digs this year.

She finished her two-year career with 285 kills, 892 assists, 87 aces, 1100 digs and 38 blocks. 

Wirick helped lead the Owens volleyball team to a 34-11 record this year. The team finished second in the OCCAC and advanced to the loser's bracket final of the Region XII tournament before falling to Columbus State Community College.

Notes

Wirick is the first volleyball All-American from Owens since Dakia Sellers two years ago.
