2015: Mikesell competed in 47 matches as a sophomore. She was one of four players to compete in all 162 sets, and she totaled 191 kills with a .221 hitting percentage, 21 assists, 41 service aces, 614 digs, 15 solo blocks, 49 assisted blocks and 64 total blocks.She finished fourth on the team in kills, second in aces, second in digs and sixth in blocks.
Following the season, Mikesell was named Honorable Mention All-OCCAC. She was also a member of the Region XII District F All-Tournament team after producing 27 kills, 59 digs, three assists, two aces and four blocks (three solo) in the tournament.
In her two-year career, Mikesell accumulated 470 kills with a .222 hitting percentage, 43 assists, 70 service aces, 914 digs, 32 solo blocks, 154 assisted blocks and 186 total blocks.
Following the year, Mikesell was the recipient of the NJCAA's Pinnacle Award for Academic Excellence.
2014: Mikesell recorded 279 kills, 22 assists, 29 aces, 300 digs and 122 blocks as a freshman. She was fourth on the team in digs, third in kills and second on the team in blocks. She recorded a season-high 10 kills in four matches and a season-high 20 digs on Sept. 6 vs St. Clair County, while recording double figure digs in six of the team's final eight matches. She averaged 17.3 digs per match in postseason play.
Following the season, Mikesell was named Honorable Mention All-OCCAC.
Prior to Owens: Mikesell was First Team All-Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC), First Team All-District 8 and First Team Division IV All-Ohio as a senior. As a junior, she was First Team All-MAC, Second Team All-District 8 and Third Team Division IV All-Ohio.
While being coached by Diana Kramer, Mikesell excelled as a multi-position player as she saw time at middle blocker, defensive specialist, setter and outside hitter. Academically, she was an A, B honor roll student. Outside of volleyball, Mikesell earned First Team All-MAC honors in softball.
She joined the Express following the departure of her former high school teammate, Kenzie Kleinhenz, who played for Owens from 2012-13.
Personal: Ally is the daughter of Reed and Lisa Mikesell. She has three siblings - Lance, Andy and Ryan.
