Toledo, Ohio---Macy Reigelsperger (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio) and Brooke Gyori (Clay/Oregon, Ohio) have both been named National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II All-Americans.

Reigelsperger was named an NJCAA First Team All-American. She is the first player in program history to achieve that honor since Dakia Sellers in 2012.

The 5-10 sophomore middle blocker, who recently signed with NCAA Division I University of Tennessee at Martin, broke the program's single season record with 623 kills, while also producing 295 digs, 171 blocks (62 solo), 19 aces and nine assists. She hit .327, as well.

Reigelsperger was previously named First Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC), OCCAC Player of the Year, First Team All-Region XII and Region XII District F Player of the Year. She was named the Region XII District F tournament MVP and made the NJCAA Division II All-National Tournament team. She was named the OCCAC player of the week three times and the NJCAA Division II National Player of the Week once.

In her two-year career, Reigelsperger recorded 1,123 kills, 542 digs, 332 blocks (88 solo), 34 aces and 23 assists. She is second all-time in career kills.

Furthermore, Reigelsperger reached double figures in kills in 39 of the team's 47 matches this year, including every match from Sept. 30 on. She recorded a career-high 27 kills vs St. Clair County on Oct. 24, 26 kills vs Kirkwood to open the NJCAA Division II National Tournament and 24 kills in an upset of undefeated NJCAA Division I Monroe College on Oct. 10.

In the national tournament, she recorded 80 kills, 31 digs and eight blocks (four solo) over four matches. Her play helped the team go 3-1 and earn a ninth place finish in the tournament. Individually, she finished third in the nation in total kills.

Gyori, meanwhile, was named an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American. The freshman defensive specialist recorded 942 digs, 87 aces, 75 assists, 16 kills and one block this year.

Gyori recorded double digit digs in all but three matches. She had 25 matches with at least 20 digs and five matches with at least 30 digs. Her season-high of 39 digs came against Sinclair on Sept. 30.

In the NJCAA Division II National Tournament, Gyori had 113 digs, six assists, three aces and one kill in four matches.

Prior to this honor, Gyori was named First Team All-OCCAC and First Team All-Region XII. She was also a member of the Region XII All-Tournament team and is a two-time OCCAC player of the week.

Notes

The duo of Reigelsperger and Gyori helped lead Owens to a 40-7 overall record that included a perfect OCCAC season, a Region XII District F championship and a ninth place finish at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. They were ranked in the NJCAA Division II top 10 for most of the season before finishing the regular season at No. 9.

It is the fourth time in program history that two players have earned NJCAA All-American honors in the same season, although its only the second time at the NJCAA Division II level. For a full list of All-Americans in Owens athletics history, click here
