2016: As a sophomore, Gyori was named First Team All-OCCAC, OCCAC player of the year, First Team All-Region XII, Region XII District F player of the year, NJCAA First Team All-American, AVCA Second Team All-American, Region XII District F all-tournament team and NJCAA Division II all-tournament team. On Sept. 25 and Oct. 9, she was named the OCCAC player of the week.

Gyori, who became the first non-offensive player to capture the OCCAC's top honor, produced 18 kills, 86 assists, 61 aces and 736 digs as a sophomore. She closed her two-year career with 34 kills, 161 assists, 148 aces, 1,678 digs and one block.

As a sophomore, she had 38 matches with at least 10 digs, including a season-high 32 digs on Oct. 7 against Catawba Valley. In the NJCAA Division II national tournament, she had 89 digs over four matches to lead Owens to a third place finish.

Gyori signed to play indoor and beach volleyball at NCAA Division I University of Tennessee at Martin, where she will join her former Owens teammate Macy Reigelsperger.

Academically, Gyori was a member of the OCCAC's All-Academic team in the fall and spring semesters as a sophomore, which helped allow her to be named a First Team All-Academic team selection by the NJCAA.

2015: As a freshman, Gyori had a phenomenal season. In 162 sets over 47 matches played, she had 16 kills, 75 assists, 87 service aces, 942 digs and one assisted block. She led the team in digs and aces, while finishing third in assists. During the season, she was named the OCCAC player of the week on Sept. 20 and Oct. 25.

Following the season, Gyori was named First Team All-OCCAC, First Team All-Region XII and NJCAA Division II Honorable Mention All-American. She was also named to the Region XII All-Tournament team after totaling 67 digs, one kill, five assists, three aces and one block in the tournament.

Prior to Owens: As a senior at Clay, Gyori was named Second Team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference (TRAC) and Honorable Mention All-District. As a junior, she was Honorable Mention All-TRAC and Honorable Mention All-District.

Academically, Gyori is a three time Clay All-Academic selection, and she earned All-Ohio Academic honors as a junior. She was also a member of the softball and cross country teams at Clay.

Personal: Brooke is the daughter of James and Lisa Gyori. She has three three siblings - Kristen, Derek and Brandon. Kristen spent two years as a member of the volleyball team at Owens from 2007-08.
