2016: As a sophomore, Pleiman produced 307 kills while hitting .311 over 653 attempts. She added three assists, 16 aces, 65 digs and 84 blocks (five solo) over 45 matches. She finished the season with 10 matches of at least 10 kills, and she had a season-high 16 kills over 29 attempts in a five-set win over Catawba Valley on Oct. 7. She ended the season third on the team in kills, as well as fifth in blocks.
Academically, Pleiman was named the outstanding graduate in the business administration concentration by Owens, and she claimed a spot on the OCCAC's All-Academic team in the fall and spring semesters, which helped allow her to be named a Second Team All-Academic team selection by the NJCAA.
Pleiman closed her two-year career with 361 kills while hitting .306 over 785 attempts. She totaled seven assists, 16 aces, 77 digs and 119 blocks (16 solo) over 57 matches.
2015: Pleiman was named a Top Newcomer by the NJCAA during the preseason. After suffering an injury just before the regular season, she returned to compete in 12 matches, including the postseason. In 36 sets, she had 54 kills with a .280 hitting percentage, four assists, 12 digs, 11 solo blocks, 24 assisted blocks and 35 total blocks.
Following the year, Pleiman received the NJCAA's Exemplary Academic Achievement Award.
Prior to Owens: As a senior, Pleiman had 16 kills and nine digs in the state championship game against No. 1 ranked and undefeated McComb as her team won the state title. Prior to that, she had 10 kills in the state semifinals. Following the season, she was named First Team All-Shelby County Athletic League, First Team All-District IX and Second Team All-Ohio.
As a junior, she helped lead the Redskins to the state quarterfinals. She was named Second Team All-Shelby County Athletic League and Honorable Mention All-District IX following the season.
Furthermore, she led her team to the state quarterfinals as a sophomore and the Sweet 16 as a freshman.
Personal: Ashley is the daughter of Randy and Jane Pleiman. She has one sister, Amy.
