Leipsic's Gerdeman Signs With Owens Volleyball Program

Leipsic, Ohio---Brooke Gerdeman, a 6-2 middle blocker from Leipsic High School, signed with the Owens Community College women's volleyball program on Monday to become the second member of next year's recruiting class.

As a senior, Gerdeman was named First Team All-Blanchard Valley Conference (BVC), Putnam County League (PCL) Player of the Year, First Team All-District and Third Team All-Ohio. She had 367 kills and 85 blocks.

As a junior, she was also First Team All-BVC and PCL Player of the Year, and she was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio.

Notes

The No. 2 ranked Owens volleyball team is currently 38-4 overall and recently captured Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) and Region XII District F championships for the second consecutive season. The team has won 14 consecutive matches and earned the No. 2 seed in the 16-team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Tournament in Charleston, W.V. Nov. 17-19. They will open up next Thursday at 11 a.m. against No. 15 seed Potomac State (WV). For more info on that, visit here.
