Toledo, OH -- With volleyball season right around the corner, the Owens Express Women's Volleyball program continues to put the finishing touches on their roster for the 2018-2019 volleyball season. On July 17, the Express signed Carlie Bengela from Whitmer High School here in Toledo.
The freshman to be capped off a very successful senior season this past year, earning several accolades. Bengela was a member of the All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference Second Team, and she was also an Honorable Mention All-District.
Bengela also was Whitmer's team MVP and she was also named captain for the team for her final season in the maize and blue. She was also a four year letter winner, and she was also won the All-Academic Award all four years of her career with the Panthers.
Bengela is an Honor Roll student and her parents are Roxanne and Jason Bengela.
