Bill Bonham completed his second and final season as an assistant coach with the Owens Community College women's volleyball program in 2016. 

In his two seasons, Owens compiled a 81-12 record overall, including a 28-0 record in conference play. The program won two OCCAC championships, a pair of Region XII District F tournament titles and made two appearances in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament.

In 2016, Bonham helped lead Owens to a 41-5 record overall and an OCCAC championship with a 14-0 league record. In the postseason, the team won the Region XII District F championship and advanced to the NJCAA Division II Final Four before finishing third in the nation, which was the best finish in the program's history at the Division II level (2001-present). 

In 2015, Bonham helped guide the Owens volleyball team to a 40-7 overall record, including a perfect 14-0 mark in OCCAC play. The team captured the OCCAC regular season title and the Region XII District F tournament title before finishing ninth at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. 

Bonham, who coached the team's defense, coached two-time NJCAA All-American Brooke Gyori, who also won the OCCAC player of the year award in 2016. She became the conference's first non-offensive player to capture the award since 2009.

During his first year at Owens, Bonham also served as an assistant coach with the Owens softball program during his initial year at the college. 

Prior to Owens, he spent seven years as a head coach at Tiffin Columbian, Buckeye Central and Fremont Ross, where he compiled a 120-54 record from 2007-13.

Most recently, Bonham returned to his alma mater of Tiffin Columbian in 2013, where he led a team that had a losing record the year before to a 15-10 overall record and a district runner-up finish.

Prior to that, he spent four years at Buckeye Central High School, where he totaled a 90-12 record overall and a 52-2 mark in conference play. He won four conference championships while there. In 2012, he led the team to a 26-3 record and a trip to the state final four. The team's season ended against state volleyball powerhouse Maria Stein Marion Local in the semifinals, but his team pushed the Flyers to a 30-28 final set score.

Bonham's first head coaching position came at Fremont Ross in 2007-08 after spending the previous year as a JV coach. Despite only going 7-15 in each of his first two years, he was awarded the Greater Buckeye Conference Coach of the Year award in 2008.

He got his start in coaching in 1995 as a volunteer coach with the Hopewell-Loudon program during the program's run of eight consecutive trips to the state final four. Additionally, he also started coaching with the Black Swamp Volleyball Club in 1995, and he is still a coach with the 17-18 age group.

In all, Bonham has been named the District 6 Coach of the Year twice, Crawford County Coach of the Year three times, and he has coached in several all-star matches in the area. He has been an independent camp instructor for many local high schools, including co-founding and running the annual Melissa Belcher Summer Classic - Coaches 4 Coaches summer tournament in Findlay, Ohio.

Moreover, Bonham has hosted a summer skills camp for local players over the past five years that has featured players from Penn State University, including last year's AVCA Player of the Year Micha Hancock. From 2006-10, he worked summer camps at the University of Michigan. This past summer, he was instrumental in bringing the Coaches 4 Coaches summer camp to Owens, and former Penn State All-American Deja McClendon served as lead instructor.

At the college level, Bonham worked at Tiffin University in the spring of 2014 and assisted with recruiting and training.

Bonham is a certified USA, OHSAA and PAVO official and line judge. He graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in Tiffin, Ohio in 1994. Following that, he attended Heidelberg University for two years before graduating from the OPOTA Police Academy at Terra Community College. He has been a volunteer firefighter since 1997.

Bonham is married to his wife, Amie, and he has two dogs - Captain and Oscar.
