Kristen Gyori begins her second season as an assistant coach with the Owens Community College women's volleyball program in 2018.

With Gyori's help, Owens garnered their first #1 overall ranking in the NJCAA Division II Poll on 9/26/17 and held onto the top spot until the end of the regular season. The team won their first 40 matches in a row before falling in the Division II National Championship game. The Express's national runner-up finish is the highest for the program at the Division II level. SHe also helpled coach two All-Americans as well.

Gyori was a two-year standout at setter for the Express in 2007-08. During her time, she helped lead the team to a 75-28 overall record, including a 21-1 mark in OCCAC play and two OCCAC championships.

Kristen is the older sister of Brooke Gyori, who was a two-time NJCAA All-American for the Owens volleyball program from 2015-16.
