Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College men's and women's basketball teams both made significant moves in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II polls.

The women's team, which has rattled off 15 straight wins since a loss in the season opener on the road, has jumped from No. 5 to No. 3. They trail only No. 1 Johnson County Community College and No. 2 Parkland College. It is the second highest ranking in program history. The 2009-10 team was ranked No. 2.

The men's team, meanwhile, is off to a 12-4 start. In the team's most recent game, they halted an 80-game home regular season winning streak for Mott Community College in overtime. They have jumped from No. 16 to No. 11 in the latest poll.

Both teams will open conference play on the road Saturday against Sinclair Community College. The women will play at 2 p.m., with the men following at 4 p.m.
