The Express Volleyball team traveled to Parkland College this past weekend to compete in the Fall Challenge tournament. They faced some tough competition, with all three of their opponents being ranked in Division II.
Despite the losses, the team had strong individual performances from our express ladies! In the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC), Maddie White is third, Ava Sholtis is seventh, and Alexis Sarvo is 23rd in kills. Rheanna Patterson is first in digs.
Owens Community College as a whole ranks highly in several categories. They are first in Kills, assists, blocks, second in Digs and tenth in Aces.
The team played against some tough competition, but managed to come away with one win. Despite the losses, the team showed great potential, ranking high in kills and digs. In OCCAC D3, Maddie White is 3rd, Ava Sholtis is 7th , and Alexis Sarvo is 23rd in kills. Rheanna Patterson is 1st in digs.
Owens ranked #1 in Kills, assists, blocks, 2nd in Digs and 10th in Aces.

"We see a lot of improvement in the team as it continually is working hard to keep getting better. Our goals are to win the OCCAC and fight hard for another National Championship. Many of our players are doing well in the D3 national rankings. In kills Maddie ranks 2nd, Ava ranks 5th and Alexis 20th. In defensive Rheanna is first in digs, Ava is 14th and Maddie is 16th. The team is first in kills and assists. Is 2nd in digs."
The team will be tested this weekend as we play 4 of the top 20 D2 teams".
