Toledo, Ohio---Josh Green, a 5-9 right-handed pitcher/infielder from Flat Rock Community High School in Flat Rock, Mich., has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Owens Community College next year.

As a junior, Green was named to the All-News Herald Dream Team after hitting .495 with 32 runs, 26 stolen bases, 15 walks and 12 RBI. He also finished 4-4 on the mound while totaling a 1.07 ERA with 47 strikeouts and 16 walks in 40.1 innings. Following the season, he was also named Second Team All-Huron League.

"Josh comes to us with a good, firm fastball that will get guys out at this level," said Owens Community College head baseball coach John Parisho. "He comes from an outstanding baseball program, and I'm excited to see him on the mound for us next fall. He has a great upside and adds another quality arm to our program."

Green becomes the second member of the 2016-17 recruiting class. He joins Adrian Reed (IF) from Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Mich.

The Owens baseball team finished 23-25 last year, but captured the Sub-Region XII tournament championship and finished third in the Region XII tournament, which marked the best postseason finish for the program since 2007. This year's team will open its regular season March 5-12 in Florida.
