Flint, Mich.---Sierra Harley (Africentric/Columbus, Ohio) went a perfect 9-for-9 from the field for a game-high 23 points to lead the No. 5 Owens Community College women's basketball team past Mott Community College 89-57 on the road tonight.

Harley's perfect performance from the field puts her in the Owens women's basketball record book as she tied the single game field goal percentage mark.

Owens (14-1) opened the game on a 12-0 run with Harley scoring eight of those points. Zhana Randolph (Rochester/Rochester Hills, Mich.) and Briana Williams (Stebbins/Dayton, Ohio) split the other four points.

A few minutes later, Demy Whitaker (Notre Dame Academy/Toledo, Ohio) hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give Owens a 23-7 lead with 13:02 left in the half.

Mott trimmed the deficit to as few as 11, but Owens took a 46-26 lead into halftime.

Over the first eight minutes of the second half, Owens wasn't able to get much going as Mott cut the deficit to 16 on a Keyshawn Jones lay-up with 12:25 left.

However, Courizma Williams (Hughes/Cincinnati, Ohio) buried a corner 3-pointer on the next possession that seemed to get Owens going again.

Down the stretch, Harley hit a jumper and a pair of free throws and Tatyana Reynolds (Rogers/Toledo, Ohio) hit a 3-pointer to give Owens a 79-53 lead with 3:54 left.

Owens then closed the game on a 13-4 run, which included four points each off the bench from Imani Vickers (Mansfield Senior/Mansfield, Ohio) and Cheyenne Bryant (Central Catholic/Cleveland, Ohio).

Harley finished with 23 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals. Whitaker led the bench with 13 points, along with three rebounds, one assist and one steal. Nobody else scored in double figures for Owens, although five players had at least six points.

Ashley Tunstall (Huber Heights Wayne/Dayton, Ohio) had a game-high 13 rebounds, along with seven points, four assists and three steals. Randolph had a game-high four steals.

For Mott, Jones (16), Day'na Holmes (10) and Latrece Robinson (10) all had double figures.

With the win, Owens picked up its 14th straight victory following a season opening loss. They will return home Monday for a tough non-conference matchup with National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I Roane State Community College at 5:30 p.m.
