Toledo, Ohio---Zhana Randolph (Rochester/Rochester Hills, Mich.) has signed with the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) to continue her basketball career.

The sophomore guard averaged 7.4 points, three rebounds, two assists and 1.5 steals per game this past year for the Owens Community College women's basketball team.

In two seasons, she averaged seven points, three rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game. She had 398 career points and led Owens to a 60-5 record over the past two years. Furthermore, she played a key role in a program that won two OCCAC championships.

"We are really excited to sign Zhana," said University of Saint Francis head women's basketball coach Jason Ridge. "She is a versatile player. We plan to use her athleticism on offense to run the floor and get us out on transition. She's a capable shooter and will be a good fit with our current team. Defensively, we love her ability to pressure the ball and cover ground."

This past season, Randolph was a key leader on a team that finished 34-2 overall and 14-0 in Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) play. The team won a school record 33 straight games, captured OCCAC and Region XII District I championships, and advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Final Four before finishing third in the nation.

"Another key factor for us was that she played for a program where she learned how to win," Ridge said. "The success she was a part of at Owens is exciting and we look forward to her bring the same expectation for success to Saint Francis. The coaches at Owens have done an exceptional job of getting good players and teaching those players how to be a part of a team and play hard. Zhana is entering our program ready to step in and contribute."

Saint Francis, which competes at the NAIA level, posted the program's second best win total last year by going 25-10. They advanced to the NAIA Elite 8 before falling to No. 1 Morningside College (IA).

Randolph is the second player from last year's team to move on. She joins Ashley Tunstall (Huber Heights Wayne/Dayton, Ohio), who previously signed with NCAA Division I Bowling Green State University.
