Toledo, Ohio---One day after earning a return trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament, the Owens Community College women's soccer team had three players earn All-Region XII honors.
Sophomore forward Haley Malaczewski (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) earned First Team All-Region XII honors. She received the second most votes of any player in the region behind Jackson College's K'Sha Conquest.
Malaczewski has 11 goals and nine assists so far this year. She is second in the region in scoring behind Conquest. She also has two hat tricks this year, and earned NJCAA Division I National Player of the Week honors earlier this season.
Earning Second Team All-Region XII honors were freshman goalkeeper Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) and freshman forward Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio).
Randolph has produced seven shutouts this year and has a 0.98 goals against average, while Wright is the team's second leading scorer with six goals and a team-high 10 assists.
The Owens women's soccer team (13-4-2) will have to wait until next week to find out what seed they are for the national tournament and their pool play opponents.
