Toledo, Ohio---Kendyl Christian (Clay/Oregon, Ohio), a sophomore forward/midfielder for the Owens Community College women's soccer team, has signed with Lourdes University to continue her athletic and academic careers.

In two seasons with Owens, Christian tallied 18 goals and six assists. She scored the game-winning in the Region XII tournament semifinals against Delta College this past season, and with her help, Owens has won back-to-back Region XII tournament championship and made two straight appearances at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I national tournament.

"Kendyl will be a quick and dangerous option for us offensively," said Lourdes University women's soccer head coach Jackie Donovan via LourdesAthletics.com.  "She has been extremely successful at both the high school and collegiate levels so we believe her transition into the program and the conference will be a seamless one."

A native of Oregon, Ohio, Christian ranked second on the Express with eight goals during the 2014 campaign and was third on the team with 18 points while tallying a pair of match-winning goals.  During her freshman season in 2013, Christian scored 10 goals, third most on the squad, and added four assists for 24 total points. She had two match-winners as a rookie as well.

A product of Clay High School, Christian was a First Team All-Three Rivers Athletic Conference selection as a senior after earning Second Team accolades as a junior.  She also garnered a pair of Second Team All-District accolades and was her team's Most Valuable Player in both 2011 and 2012.  She scored 23 goals and added 20 assists during her prep career.

Christian will join her former high school and Owens teammate, Megan Soncrant, at Lourdes. The Gray Wolves will enter their inaugural season of NAIA play in the fall of 2015.

Christian is the third player from last year's team to ink with a four-year school joining Soncrant (Lourdes) and Shelby Antonacci (Academy of Art University, NCAA Division II).
