Powell Latest To Sign With Four-Year School, To Play At Adrian College

Toledo, Ohio---Brittany Powell (Onsted/Onsted, Mich.) will continue her career as a student-athlete next year at Adrian College.

Powell spent the past two seasons as a forward/midfielder with the Owens Community College women's soccer team, where she tallied seven goals and four assists in her career. Most importantly, she helped lead the team to back-to-back Region XII championships and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I National Tournament appearances.

This past season, she finished sixth on the team in scoring with three goals and three assists over 20 games. As a freshman, she saw action in 19 games and tallied four goals and one assist.

Prior to Owens, Powell was a three sport athlete at Onsted in soccer, track and basketball.

Powell becomes the fifth player from last year's team to sign with a four-year school. She joins Kendyl Christian (Lourdes University, NAIA), Abby Groll (Lourdes University, NAIA), Megan Soncrant (Lourdes University, NAIA) and Kayla Lehmann (Lourdes University, NAIA).

Adrian College is an NCAA Division III school. They are members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and finished 9-8-3 overall last year, including a 7-7-2 mark in conference play. They are coached by Ali Alamdari.
