Donaldson, Ind.---Sophie Hollis (Tomlinscote/Surrey, England) produced what turned out to be the game winning goal in the first half today as the Owens Community College women's soccer team routed Ancilla College 7-0 on the road.

The matchup was the first meeting between the two programs as this is the first year of women's soccer at Ancilla.

The Owens offense peppered Ancilla with 23 shots overall - 13 on goal. Jermima Job (Lincoln College/Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom) and Jessica Kreger (Bedford/Temperance, Mich.) led the way with eight each, while Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio) had six.

The goal by Hollis came just four minutes into the match. Wright struck with the next goal eight minutes into the second half. Both of the first two goals were assisted by Ellie Kirby (Itchen Sixth Form College/Southampton, Hampshire, England).

Following that, the duo of Talia Swartbooi (Edenglen/Johannesburg, South Africa) and Job took over. Swartbooi scored unassisted in the 65th and 70th minutes. The second one came off a free kick.

Job then scored the game's final three goals in the 75th, 80th and 86th minutes. Her second goal was assisted by Dominique Cruz (Northwood/Northwood, Ohio), while the first one came via a penalty kick.

Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) didn't have to make a save in goal for Owens en route to her second straight and ninth career shutout.

Owens is now 3-2 overall. They will take a three game winning streak into Wednesday's big 4 p.m. home match against No. 14 Schoolcraft College. The Ocelots are currently 4-0 and outscoring their opponents 30-0 this year.

Notes

The goals from Hollis and Swartbooi marked the first collegiate goals for each player, while Kirby's assists were the first and second of her career. Cruz, a sophomore, picked up her first career assist after scoring two goals last year.

Wright's goal marked the second straight game with a goal for the sophomore. She produced the game winner against Delta earlier this week. She now has nine goals in her career.

Job, meanwhile, produced her second hat trick of the season. She has a team-high eight goals this year and has scored in all but one match.
