Monroe, Mich.---Monroe (Mich.) High School senior Christine Tylutki signed with the Owens Community College women's volleyball team today in a ceremony at her high school.

The 5'10" setter/middle blocker becomes the third player in next year's freshmen class, which already includes Clay (Ohio) High School's Brooke Gyori and Bowling Green (Ohio) High School's Tyanna Smith.

This past season, Tylutki was named team MVP, First Team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) and MIVCA All-Region. Academically, she was an SEC Scholar-Athlete and MIVCA Academic All-Michigan. On the court, she helped her AAU team finish third nationally in the 18 club division.

As a sophomore and junior, she was named Honorable Mention All-SEC.

A two-sport athlete, Tylutki was the Monroe women's basketball team's MVP as a junior, as well as an All-SEC Scholar-Athlete and a Monroe Evening News All-Region selection.

Tylutki was coached at Monroe by Kim Windham. Along with Gyori and Smith, she will join a great sophomore class to be in Ally Mikesell (St. Henry/St. Henry, Ohio), Erika Hartings (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio), Amara Hemenway (Bellevue/Bellevue, Ohio), Macy Reigelsperger (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio), Deanna Smith (Riverview/Riverview, Mich.) and Taylor Purcell (Bedford/Temperance, Mich.) on next year's team.
