Norwalk, Ohio---Samantha Reer, who helped lead Norwalk St. Paul to a district finals appearance this past year, will play volleyball at Owens Community College next year after officially joining the program last week.

Reer, a 5'7" outside hitter/defensive specialist, was a Second Team All-Firelands Conference and Second Team All-District selection as a senior. She was an integral member of a team that finished 21-4 overall.

The four-year varsity letter winner was a two-time team captain in volleyball. She was also a Second Team All-Firelands Conference selection as a junior following a First Team All-Firelands Conference selection as a sophomore.

Academically, she is a National Honor Society student.

Reer joins a freshmen class that already includes Annie Lindeman (6'0" OH, Ottoville H.S.), Christine Tylutki (5'10" S, Monroe H.S.), Brooke Gyori (5'4" DS, Oregon Clay H.S.), Tyanna Smith (5'10" MB, Bowling Green H.S.).

Those five also join returning sophomores Ally Mikesell (St. Henry/St. Henry, Ohio), Erika Hartings (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio), Amara Hemenway (Bellevue/Bellevue, Ohio), Macy Reigelsperger (Coldwater/Coldwater, Ohio), Deanna Smith (Riverview/Riverview, Mich.) and Taylor Purcell (Bedford/Temperance, Mich.).
