Toledo, Ohio---The Owens Community College women's volleyball program has signed two more student-athletes for next year's recruiting class in Carrigan Gray of Liberty-Benton High School and Olivia Hermiller of Ottawa-Glandorf High School.

Gray is a 5'8" setter who will help offset the graduation of outgoing sophomore Deanna Smith (Riverview/Riverview, Mich.).

"Carrigan has a great volleyball IQ," said Owens Community College women's volleyball assistant coach Denny Caldwell. "She is a coach's kid and knows the game very well. She is a six rotation player who can both set and hit, and she can run the offense extremely well."

As a senior, Gray had 49 aces, 423 kills, 370 assists and 284 digs for Liberty-Benton, while earning First Team All-Blanchard Valley Conference (BVC), First Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-Ohio honors for the third straight year.

Gray is a National Honor Society member and a 3.5 GPA honor roll student.

Hermiller is a 6'0" right side hitter who had 34 blocks, 140 digs, 18 assists, 200 kills, 51 aces and a .328 hitting percentage as a senior at Ottawa-Glandorf.

"Olivia is a heavy hitter, both left and right side," Caldwell said. "She has the ability to play six rotations and comes from a great volleyball program. She also exhibits a tremendous work ethic and has a captain's leadership qualities."

As a senior, Hermiller was named Second Team All-Western Buckeye League (WBL) and Second Team All-District 8. She was a member of the District 8 All-Star team and led her team in kills for the second straight season. As a junior, she was named First Team All-WBL, First Team All-District 8 and was a member of the Crestview Invitational All-Tournament team

Academically, Hermiller is a 3.5 or higher honor roll student and the president of the student council.

Gray and Hermiller join a freshmen class that already includes Madison Lammers, a 5'9" outside hitter from New Knoxville High School in New Knoxville, Ohio.
