Toledo, Ohio---Tanner Glass, a 6-1 infielder from Bedford High School in Temperance, Mich., has signed with the Owens Community College baseball program.

Glass, who has played multiple positions at Bedford, will come to Owens as an All-County and Second Team All-Region player.

"Tanner comes to us from a pretty good travel program in Underwood Orr and a good high school program in Bedford," said Owens Community College head baseball coach John Parisho. "With that experience, he is well-equipped to take a utility role with us at Owens. He will play some infield, catcher and pitch for us and be very effective at any position with some pretty good bat speed at the plate."

Glass becomes the third member of the 2016-17 recruiting class. He joins Adrian Reed (IF) from Livonia Franklin High School in Livonia, Mich. and Josh Green (RHP/IF) from Flat Rock Community in Flat Rock, Mich.

The Owens baseball team finished 23-25 last year, but captured the Sub-Region XII tournament championship and finished third in the Region XII tournament, which marked the best postseason finish for the program since 2007. This year's team will open its regular season March 5-12 in Florida.
