Hermes and Berger Lead Owens, But Express Finish 16th In Loaded Dayton Invitational

Dayton, OH---The Express golf team finished 16th on Tuesday as they faced plenty of NCAA Div. I competition in the Dayton Flyer Invitational.

As their team shot a 662 two-day score, Greg Hermes and Luke Berger led the Express with low scores of 161. Hermes shot a 79 the first day, while Berger shot an 81 the first day.

Other Owens scores included: Walter Dorosh with a 164, Darren Gessner with a 169, Conor Totzke with a 171 and Tyler Crossley with a 174.

Owens was one of only two junior colleges at the Dayton Invitational. The other team, Cincinnati State, finished just nine strokes ahead of the Express for 15th place. IUPUI and the University of Dayton each had a two-day score of 585, but IUPUI took home the title in a playoff.

The event was held at NCR Country Club. Par was 142.

The Express close their fall season at 10-23.
