Toledo, OH---Jaime Sesock scored the lone goal for the Express women's soccer team in a 1-1 (2 OT) tie with Jackson Community College at the Owens Soccer Complex today.

Sesock scored from the right side of the goal just over 28 minutes into the match to give the Express an early 1-0 lead. However, Jackson's Sommer Groendyk snuck a goal over Express goalkeeper Erika Brinkman's hands with only 14 seconds left in the first half to tie it up.

The game remained scoreless in the half before entering the first OT. Both OT sessions saw the Express control play and the majority of scoring opportunities, including Sarah Weaver's shot off the left side bar in the second OT session, but the two teams settled on a tie.

Brinkman made six saves in goal for the Express, while Drew Plummer assisted on Sesock's goal.

It was the first goal of the season and fifth of the career for Sesock, while it was the first assist of the season for Plummer.

It was the first OT matchup of the season for Owens, while Jackson previously tied Schoolcraft 2-2 in 2 OT earlier this season.

The Express (4-2-1 overall) will take on a much improved Kellogg Community College squad tomorrow afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Owens won both matchups last year by a combined 17-1 score as Kellogg finished 0-12. However, the Bruins enter play tomorrow with a 2-2-1 overall record.
