Toledo, Ohio---Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio)'s first half goal gave the No. 14 Owens Community College women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Cincinnati State Technical and Community College today.

In the 31st minute, Cincinnati State was called for a foul deep in Owens territory. Shelby Antonacci (Lake/Perrysburg, Ohio) then booted the free kick all the way up field to Wright, who made a move and beat Cincinnati State's goalkeeper Tressie Lewis far left for the game's only goal.

Wright nearly added a second goal later, but the shot bounced off the crossbar.

Lewis made two saves in goal for Cincinnati State, while Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio), who missed yesterday's game at Delta, made four saves for Owens in goal.

Wright's goal was her second this weekend and third of the season. Antonacci picked up her third assist of the season, which ties her with Haley Malaczewski (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) for the team lead.

Owens is now 3-2-1 this year. They will be back in action next Sunday at 3 p.m. on the road against Cincinnati State.
