Toledo, Ohio---A battle of the region's top two teams came down to double overtime, and neither team could come out on top as the Owens Community College women's soccer team deadlocked No. 17 Schoolcraft College 1-1.

Schoolcraft's Remy Houttekier scored off a free kick just under five minutes into the game to give the Ocelots the early advantage. Later, in the 34th minute, Jordyn Wright (Riverdale/Forest, Ohio) scored off a rebound of a shot from Shelby Antonacci (Lake/Perrysburg, Ohio) to tie the game.

Neither team could score in the second half, so the teams went to overtime. In the second overtime, Haley Malaczewski (Central Catholic/Toledo, Ohio) thought she had the game-winner on a header, but it was called off due to offsides.

Each team had nine shots, although Schoolcraft held a 4-2 advantage in shots on goal.

Chelsie Randolph (Start/Toledo, Ohio) played all 110 minutes in goal for Owens and made three saves. Kaitlyn Dangelmaier started in goal for Schoolcraft, but had to exit with three seconds left in the first half. Aly Mann relieved her for the final 65:03 and didn't allow a goal.

The goal by Wright was her sixth of the season. Antonacci's assist was her seventh of the season.

Owens is now 10-3-2 overall and 8-2-1 in Region XII play, while Schoolcraft is 9-1-1 overall and in Region XII play. With today's result, Schoolcraft clinched the top seed in the Region XII postseason tournament, while Owens will get the No. 2 seed. Opponents are still to be decided.

Owens will travel to Indiana Tech University for a 7 p.m. matchup on Wednesday before closing out the regular season with a 3 p.m. matchup at Jackson College next Saturday.
