No. 5 Express Defeat No. 12 Columbus State, Edison CC To Stay Undefeated In OCCAC

Toledo, OH---The No. 5 Express volleyball team defeated No. 12 Columbus State Community College on the road Friday before returning home this afternoon to defeat Edison Community College.

In the 25-14, 25-20, 22-25, 25-23 win over No. 12 Columbus State, Alyssa Meis (14) and Dakia Sellers (13) led the Express in kills. Molly Hilfinger added 36 of her team's 38 assists and Lisa Urbanski had 28 digs, while Kenzie Kleinhenz led the team in assisted blocks with three.

Overall, in addition to their 38 assists, the Express had 43 kills, four service aces, 58 digs, two solo blocks and 10 assisted blocks.

In the 25-20, 25-16, 19-25, 25-18 win over Edison Community College today, the Express received double-digit kills once again from Meis (11) and Sellers (11). Other leaders included: Urbanski (4 service aces), Hilfinger (33 assists) and Urbanski (18 digs).

Overall, the Express totaled 39 kills, 34 assists, 12 service aces, 56 digs, two solo blocks and six assisted blocks.

The Express (16-3 overall, 6-0 OCCAC) will next take on Lakeland Community College in Mentor, OH on Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. Following that, they don't play until Sept. 26.
