A Three-Game Week for the Express Women's Basketball Team

It was a busy week for the Express women's basketball team! They played three conference games against Mott State, Clark State, and Terra State College. On Monday, they beat Mott 65-45. Wednesday's away game against Clark State ended in an 80-72 victory for the Express. They pulled off another win on Saturday, coming back from 20 points behind in the 4th quarter to beat Terra State 67-74. Coach Perry is excited about the team's progress and says they are really finding their groove. With five wins and three losses so far this season, things are looking good for the lady Express!

Monday's Game Against Mott State

The Express women's basketball team had a great start to their week with a 65-45 victory over Mott State on Monday. The team got off to a strong start, leading by 14 points at halftime. They continued to dominate in the second half and cruised to an easy victory. Taylor, Malorie, and Hayley were the standouts of the game, each scoring in double digits. It was a great team effort all around and a great way to start the week!

Wednesday's Game Against Clark State

The Express kept their winning streak alive with a hard-fought 80-72 victory over Clark State on Wednesday. The game was close throughout, but the Express pulled away in the end thanks to some great shooting from beyond the arc. Hayley led the way with 21 points, followed by Taylor with 18 points. It was another great team effort and the girls are starting to really gel together as a unit.

Saturday's Game Against Terra State College

The Express faced their toughest test of the week on Saturday when they took on Terra State College. They found themselves down 20 points in the 4th quarter but fought their way back to take the lead in the final minutes of the game. It was a thrilling finish and a great come-from-behind win for the Express! Malorie led the way with 24 points, followed by Hayley with 16 points. It was a total team effort and everyone contributed to the comeback victory.

It was a busy but successful week for the Express women's basketball team! They won all three of their conference games against Mott State, Clark State, and Terra State College. Coach Perry is excited about their progress and says they are starting to gel together as a unit. With five wins and three losses under their belt so far this season, things are looking good for the lady Express! We'll be sure to keep you updated on their progress as they continue their quest for a conference championship!

Head Coach Perry:

I think we are in a good place right now. We had our struggles trying to find our identity earlier this year but we?ve really settled in and finding our groove. We are getting help from our entire roster. Our Sophomores are really stepping up (Taylor, Malorie, and Hayley).
