John LoCascio enters his first year as an assistant coach with the Express baseball program. He is a graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School.  He received certification in high pressure boiler operations from Owens Community College in 1982 and serves as a boiler engineer at Sherman Elementary for the Toledo Public Schools.  His coaching experience includes serving as the head junior varsity baseball coach at Libbey High School from 1996-1999 and the school's head varsity baseball coach for the past three years.  LoCascio also has served as an assistant baseball coach at St. Francis de Sales and Start high schools.  During his high school baseball career he received All-District, All-State and Honorable Mention All-American honors.  In 1978. LoCascio was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the Major League Baseball draft.  He played professional baseball for three years.  LoCascio resides in Toledo.
