John LoCascio returns for his third year as an Express assistant coach. A graduate of St. Francis De Sales High School, he received certification in high pressure boiler operations from Owens Community Cllege in 1982 and serves as a boiler engineer at Sherman Elementary for the Toledo Public School system. His coaching experience includes serving as the head junior varsity baseball coach at Libbey High School from 1996-99 and the school's head varsity baseball coach for three years prior to joining the Express baseball coaching staff. LoCascio also has served as an assistant baseball coach at St. Francis de Sales and Start High School. During his high school baseball career, he received All-District, All-Ohio and Honorable Mention All-American honors in 1978. In 1978, LoCascio was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the Major League Baseball draft. He played professional baseball for three years. LoCascio resides in Toledo.
