Shullick, Manis Earn Postseason Honors In OCCAC

Toledo, OH---The Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) announced their postseason awards recently, and the Express had two players on the All-OCCAC team - Logan Shullick and Nate Manis.

Shullick, a sophomore outfielder, finished fourth in the OCCAC in batting average at .379 (25-for-66). He added 14 runs, three doubles, 17 RBI, five walks and two stolen bases in 20 OCCAC games.

He finished 15th in runs, 7th in hits and seventh in RBI.

Shullick was named OCCAC Player of the Week on April 7.

Manis, a sophomore infielder, finished 11th in the OCCAC in batting average at .329 (24-for-73). He added 25 runs, two doubles, two triples, 13 RBI, 19 walks and 12 stolen bases.

He led the league in runs, was 10th in hits, 14th in RBI, first in walks and first in stolen bases.

Additionally, Manis was named to the All-Region XII team.

The Express baseball team finished 15-29 overall and 7-17 in the OCCAC. However, they played their best at the end of the season as they captured the NJCAA D-II Sub-Region XII tournament and made their first appearance in the NJCAA Region XII Tournament since 2009-10.
