Toledo, Ohio---Richard William Hutt, a 6'3" left handed pitcher from Toledo Bowsher High School, signed with the Owens Community College baseball program last night.

With his signing, Owens baseball head coach Devin Taylor has inked his first recruit in next year's class.

"Will is going to be a guy who can come in and make an immediate impact for us, whether it be in the starting rotation or out of the bullpen," Taylor said. "He's got a lot of upside. I project him to be mid-80s by the middle of his freshman year."

Hutt tossed 30 innings in the Toledo City League last year en route to a 1.87 ERA and 50 strikeouts. He had a 5-0 record for the regular season City League champs.

He also hit .364 with 13 RBIs and two stolen bases while earning First Team All-City League honors and racking up two no-hitters.
