Toledo, Ohio---The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Sub-Region XII tournament will be held at Owens Community College this weekend.

The four-team, double-elimination tournament will determine who gets Ohio's second bid to next week's Region XII tournament in Battle Creek, Mich. The tournament consists of three Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) teams and Vincennes (Ind.) University.

Action begins on Friday with a 9:30 a.m. matchup between Lakeland Community College (12-30, 7-16 OCCAC) and Vincennes University (34-14 overall). Following that, Owens Community College (19-24, 10-13 OCCAC) will meet Cuyahoga Community College (11-19-1, 8-16 OCCAC) at 12 p.m.

The final two games of the day will be the loser of game one vs the loser of game two at 2:30 p.m., followed by the winner of game one vs the winner of game two at 5 p.m.

The tournament continues on Saturday with the loser's bracket championship game at 11 a.m., followed by the championship at 1:30 p.m. Should the team out of the loser's bracket win the 1:30 p.m. game, an if necessary, winner take all game will occur at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Notes

Rain is in the forecast for Friday, so Friday's start may be pushed to later in the day. Should Friday be rained out, the tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Should rain continue to be a factor, the tournament will become single elimination.

Owens Community College is the defending Sub-Region XII tournament champion. They then advanced to the second round of the Region XII tournament before dropping their final two games of the season.
