2014-15: Bennett went 4-6 with a 4.40 ERA as a sophomore, and he closed the season strong by earned Region XII All-Tournament team honors. During the season, he made 11 starts, appeared in 13 games, made one save and tossed a team-high nine complete games. He also struck out 42 batters over a team-high 71.2 innings pitched.

In his first postseason start, a 9-4 win over Lakeland, Bennett went all seven innings while striking out four. Then, he pitched two-thirds of an inning to pick up a save and clinch a 1-0 win over Vincennes in the Sub-Region XII tournament championship game. He followed that up with a complete game, one-hitter in a win over Mott to open Region XII play.

In his two-year career, Bennett went 10-7 overall with a 3.43 ERA and one save. He appeared in 23 games, made 20 starts, tossed 16 complete games, pitched 131.1 innings and struck out 89.

2013-14: Bennett earned All-OCCAC, OCCAC Co-Pitcher of the Year and team MVP honors as a freshman while finishing the season as the team's best pitcher. He finished the season 6-1 with a 2.26 ERA. In 59.2 innings, he allowed 45 hits, 19 runs (15 earned) and eight walks while striking out 47.

In Region XII play, Bennett finished seventh in innings pitched, seventh in wins, third in complete games, 14th in strikeouts and 10th in ERA. In OCCAC play, he finished second in wins (5), first in complete games (6), first in innings pitched (41.0), fourth in strikeouts (36) and first in ERA (1.76).

Prior to Owens: Bennett was Second Team All-District as a senior and Honorable Mention All-District as a junior at Grove City High School, where he pitched and played first base for head coach Ryan Alexander.

Personal: Kyle is the son of Dan and Stacy Stansell. He has four siblings - Daniel, Hunter, Kara and Braxton.
