Toledo, Ohio---Blake Bunch, a utility player, and Jimmy McPhail, a right-handed pitcher, have signed with the Owens Community College baseball program.

Both players will come to Owens from Inspiration Academy, a prep school in Bradenton, Fla. Bunch, however, will be a sophomore as he played one year at NCAA Division II University of Tampa after prepping at IMG Academy.

"Blake is a guy who can play multiple positions for us as a utility guy and play them well," said Owens Community College head baseball coach John Parisho. "He knows the game and will be a great addition to our program."

McPhail, meanwhile, prepped at Tampa Catholic (Fla.) High School before spending last year at Inspiration Academy.

"Jimmy is a pitcher who can come in and compete for a starting spot in our rotation," Parisho said. "He has great passion to compete with command of the strike zone."
