Florida Trip Ends On A High Note

The Express head home after 10 days in the Sunshine State concluding the Russmatt Invitational. The team finished with a record of 2-6 during that span, winning the final game 11-3 over Ridgewater College. The team collected 13 hits and had two HRs while stealing 4 bases and playing tremendous defense. Followed up with, a dominant pitching performance from Dominic Carlson who threw 6 innings only allowing 3 hits. Mitch Harder came in and finished the last two innings to complete the game. "That was the most complete game we played all week" stated Coach Parisho. "Nice way to end the trip"

In most games, the young Express squad showed flashes of brilliance for a few innings then would have some costly mistakes late. This led to a roller coaster of emotions throughout the week. A lot of guys were put into situations that will make them better for later in the season. Despite some of the losses, the team chemistry remained high. Ending on a high note was vital for the team's morale. The Express head home with a 4-8 record overall but have 7 home games this week looking to get above .500% by the end of it.
