Express swept the day against Edison State CC with scores of 6-5 and 5-1.
Game 1: The game seemed out of reach when the Express went up 5-0. Going into the last inning, they still held the same lead but the Edison State Chargers scored five runs in the seventh inning to tie up the game. Then in the bottom of the 8th inning, the Express loaded the bases up with two outs and Tristan Schuerman to the plate. Tristan Schuerman hits a ball so high that it gets caught up in the wind and he reaches on the error, ending the game in walk-off fashion.
Game 2: It was a very windy and cold day, and not a lot of baseballs could get much distance. Only five hits collectively between both teams. Three by the Express and two by the Chargers. The Express put up four runs in the fifth inning and put the game out of reach. Off the bench, Kaiden Maiorano hit a lead-off double and came around to score first in that 4-run frame. Coltin Chany went six strong innings, allowing just two hits and striking out six. Jackson Bauer came in and completed the seventh inning in just nine pitches.
