The Express improved to 3-1 in conference play after splitting with Clark St on Thursday.
Game 1: Win 10-7
The team trailed 6-2 heading into the top half of the sixth inning. The offense came alive and scored three runs with RBIs from Landon Amstutz and Jacob Shadle. Then, in the top half of the seventh, the offense stayed hot with five more runs. The biggest AB of the day came from Javert McGregor earning a bases-loaded walk to take the lead, then Kale Wilkins blew it open with a 3-run triple, putting the game away for good. The offense tallied 13 hits on the day. Out of relief, Ethan Rapp earned the win by going 3.1 innings, striking out four, and allowing just one earned run.
Game 2: Loss 9-4
The Express struggled to get any traction against Clark State's starting pitcher, only tallying four hits on the day. The team trailed 5-0 when the offense scored four to make it 5-4 but then gave the runs right back in the bottom half of the inning due to some defensive miscues. Coltin Chany earns the loss, throwing five innings and giving up just three earned runs, striking out five.
