Tyler Glass helped lead a turnaround of the Owens baseball program from 2014-16. He was an integral piece of a team that posted the program's best postseason finish in 2015 and a team that won 30 games for the first time in five years in 2016.

In the year prior to his arrival, Owens finished 19-26. Then, in his first year, Glass helped direct Owens to its best postseason finish since the spring of 2007. The team went 23-25 overall, won the Sub-Region XII tournament championship and finished third in the Region XII tournament.

In his final season, Owens finished 30-15, which marked its first 30 win season since 2009-10. They went 11-5 in conference play and were the only team to defeat league champion Cuyahoga Community College. Despite the team's season ending in the Sub-Region XII tournament, they posted a team batting average of .316 and featured OCCAC Pitcher of the Year Grant Peters.

Glass spent the fall of 2014 as an assistant coach at Mott Community College. Prior to that, he spent two years at Glen Oaks Community College mainly as a pitcher and middle infielder. He captured the conference's batting title with a .427 average and earned Second Team All-MCCAA honors. He then went on to finish his last two years of baseball at Tiffin Universtity and graduated in 2014.

A resident of Peterson, Mich., Glass is a 2009 graduate of Summerfield High School, where he earned All-Michigan honors.
