Jim Welling is in his sixth year as head basketball coach at Owens College and brings as 107 and 50 record into the 91-92 season.  During his first five years, he has led the Owens Express to a number of notable achievements including back-to-back OJCAC State Championships and top ten ranking for the last three seasons in the NJCAA Division II National poll.  Coach welling is a 1980 Owens College graduate and received his B.A. from the University of Toledo.  In addition to coaching, Jim is an admissions representative in the Student Services Division of Owens College.
