Toledo, Ohio---Andy Bachman (North Side/Fort Wayne, Ind.), a sophomore forward for the Owens Community College men's basketball team, has signed with NCAA Division II Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio.

Bachman, who closed his career with the Express as one of the program's all-time best 3-point shooters, averaged 11.9 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals per game as a sophomore. He was the team's second leading rebounder while shooting 83-for-192 (43.2 percent) from 3-point range.

Following the season, Bachman earned Second Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) honors. In conference play, he averaged 13.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 43.7 percent from long range over 12 contests.

As a freshman, Bachman averaged 8.7 points and 3.8 rebounds. He shot 73-for-197 (37.1 percent) from 3-point range. He helped lead the team to a 26-10 record and the program's best postseason finish since 2002-03.

Bachman helped lead the Express men's basketball team to a 51-16 record in his two years, including a share of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) championship, a district championship and a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Final Four berth.

Statistically, Bachman scored 673 points in his two-year career. Furthermore, he finished 156-for-389 (40.1 percent) from 3-point range, and he broke Jeff Massey's (1991-93) career record for 3-point field goals attempted. He came just 16 made 3-point field goals away from breaking the career 3-point field goals made record.

Prior to his sophomore year, Bachman participated in the Mullens JUCO Showcase in St. Louis, MO.

Bachman is a 2012 graduate of North Side High School in Fort Wayne, where he earned First Team All-Summitt Athletic Conference (SAC) honors his senior year.
