A graduate of Fremont Ross High school, Coach Heidelburg takes over the Express men's basketball team for the 2022 year. Joell is a three-year varsity player from Fremont, Ohio and was nominated for McDonald’s High school All-American Basketball team. After graduating, Heidelburg received a full-ride athletic scholarship to Cincinnati State College. Joell was a member of Cincinnati State 2000-2001 men's basketball program earning First team OCCAC. Heidelburg led the team in 2000-2001 with a 17 points game average.

After moving back to Fremont, Heidelburg embraced the sports lifestyle with his children and began assisting in many programs and basketball camps/clinics. In 2016, Heidelburg founded One on One Basketball Development LLC., A company that provides skill instruction and evaluation to players of all ages. Joell is also Owner and Director of One on One Elite AAU program, one of the most competitive AAU programs in the state.

Joell began his coaching career in 2017 as Head Junior Varsity coach at Fremont Ross High School as well as assiting with the varsity program. In 2021 he started his journey at Owens State Community College as the Mens Basketball Assistant Coach. Joell is thrilled to lead the Express Basketball team into a new chapter and takes great pride in the long term development of his players on and off the court.
