Owens career: In 2002, Hehl played in 27 games. She compiled a 4-2 record with an ERA of 5.20, and she totaled seven hits and eight RBI on offense.

High School: Hehl earned Honorable Mention All-Region honors in softball, and she was named the team's most improved player. She was also recognized as the team's MVP during her senior year in volleyball.
